Disabling SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

In certain situations it may be desirable to disable the use of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages in a project and use ADO.NET scripts instead.  This article covers how to disable SSIS from being used in a project.

Open the Jet Data Manager and open the project for which you want to disable SSIS from being used. Right-click the project name at the top node of the Data tab and select Edit Project.

In the Edit Project window, uncheck the boxes for Use Integration Services and Use Integration Services Folder.

Click OK to exit the Edit Project window and save the changes to the project.

Once SSIS has been disabled the entire project needs to be deployed and executed for the changes to be finalized.  This will create all of the necessary ADO.NET scripts required to build the project structure without the use of SSIS scripts.
