Using the Jet Scheduler with older versions of Jet Essentials

Due to permissions updates (KB2836942 and KB2836943) for the Windows Task Scheduler published by Microsoft for Windows XP and higher, if you plan on using the Jet Scheduler with the Jet Excel add-in version 2012 R2 or earlier, you will need to start Excel by right clicking the Excel.exe file and choosing Run as Administrator.

This method works with all stated versions of Windows except Windows Server 2003.   For Windows Server 2003 and all versions of the Jet Excel add-in that support it, the only workaround for being able to access the Windows Scheduled tasks is to grant the individual Jet user full administrator rights.
