Issue: Using IE11, unable to open reports in the Jet Hub


Overview:

Users of Internet Explorer 11 may be unable to open their reports in Excel Online from within the Jet Hub.

 

Cause:

One of IE11's settings can interfere with the ability of Excel Online to open Jet Hub reports.

Resolution

If you are using IE11 to access the Jet Hub, you will need to disable the setting for Enable Protected Mode for the Internet zone:

 

If your Jet Hub is hosted on a local intranet server then the setting must also be disabled for the Local Intranet zone:

Workarounds:

If disabling the Protected Mode setting is not an option for your environment, other options would be to:

  • download the report and then open it with Excel installed on your computer, or
  • use a different supported web browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, or Firefox)
