Overview
Business intelligence (also known as "Analytics") is all about getting the right data to the right people in order to help make better business decisions. From a technical solutions perspective, this practice is divided into two distinct parts: the back-end of data organization and preparation, and a front-end of data visualization and reporting.
Analytics vs. Reporting
Reporting tends to be about the past and current status.
Analytics uses the past (and what happened) to provide insight to shape the future.
