I can't seem to find the User Data button on the ribbon in version 15.1.15148.0? I know it was there before.
Also is there a way to merge the Userdata into the design view cells? Basically after users are done editing, make the data now the base data and then purge the data to "start over fresh"?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello KFons,
Can you clarify what you mean by the "user data button"? And what is this button supposed to do?
Is it possible that it was called something else?
Additionally, if there is a ribbon item that you are are looking for, you can now see this under the Application Settings. And you have the option to display or not display certain ribbon items.
Also, your question about merging the 'userdata' into the design view cells is not very clear. Please reiterate.
Thank you,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Your question is not very clear but it sounds like you are looking to store user entered data in a report. There is no button for this but rather it is a Jet function where you label a row for Data entry. There is a knowledgebase article on how to do this here: http://kb.jetreports.com/article/AA-00538/0/.

Jet Reports Historic Posts In 15.0 and previous, there was a button called "User Data" but it has been removed since, as UserJill pointed out, it is based on keywords placed in the report.
It does remove the Purge and Report, Purge and Refresh, etc functionality although I believe you can simply hit the Purge Cache button to purge those saved values. That is less convenient but still should do the same thing. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts I am looking to Purge Userdata - I have userdata in the report already. There was a selection in the ribbon to do this in the past but I cannot seem to find it.
However, Ideally, I'd like to take to user data and save it to the design view / base report so after the users update their fields I can then "merge" the changes to the design view and purge the userdata to start fresh. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello kfons.
In the newest version of Jet Reports there is a ribbon customization option and it looks like they left this button out. I contacted Jet and their Development team is aware of this and is working on a fix.
If you need that option then I would downgrade to the last version before 15.1 for the interim until they fix it.
Best regards,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Kfons,
As far as I understand, you cannot achieve what you want with your "merge". When you use User data, it stores the values that were changed while in Report mode off-sheet. When you return to Design mode, it returns to the actual functions/original values. It isn't until you hit Report or Refresh, that the User data is placed back into the report.
As for the purge cache button, it is hidden by default in the Jet Ribbon for 15.1.xxxx. You can unhide it by going to the Application Settings -> Jet Ribbon -> Check "Purge Cache". Hit OK and it will now be in your Jet Ribbon. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts The post prior to your said the function was missed in the upgrade and needs to be added - it is not the same as Purge Cache

Jet Reports Historic Posts I mentioned that yes, the User data button was removed which removed those specific purge options but also mentioned that I believed that the Purge Cache button should to the same thing.
If it doesn't, I would suggest submitting a support ticket as I'm sure the Jet Support team could talk with developers and ask for you. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts The Purge cache does not remove userdata, this needs to be fixed
