When I try to use scheduler in Jet reports I receive following error:
I was not possible to connect to task schedule on this computer MN-PC, do you want to connect to another computer.
My computer is a windows vista and I am using Jet reports vers. 7.1.2 Build 1820

Hello Markl,
No errors in my windows event log when I try to use the scheduler,the log report = ID: 1, Application Name: Microsoft Office Excel, Application Version: 12.0.6323.5000, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6215.1000. This session lasted 454 seconds with 60 seconds of active time. This session ended normally.
But when I say no to try another user, Excel return this answer "Can't show non-modal form when modal form is displayed", I try to read this error on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa266716(VS.60).aspx but I don't understand this. English is not my mother tongue. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts That event message is from the section of the windows log labelled "Microsoft Office". An error would be found in "Application", possibly "System". Have you checked there?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Sounds like there's something pretty weird going on. I'd consider:
1) Re-installing office
2) Ensuring your PC has the latest patches and update from MS (not just security, but office product service packs depending on version)
3) Ensuring you have the latest version of Jet
4) Logging a call with support
Some screen shots of all the errors you get could help us in this forum further diagnose your issues. -

Yes I did, and the are no error in this windows log

The only error I get is following

Can it be something with this new windows vista safety rights? I can use the computer management task scheduler manually, but first it ask for my permission. -

That could very well be it, I don't have any vista experience with the schedular but Vista really dislikes automation of any kind…
Have you googled for this kind of problem?
Maybe setting it up on a Server 2k3 that's running (if you have one avail.)?

Is it possible for you to speak to your IT personnel about this Microsoft related issue. I am wondering if there is a way to set the Microsoft Management Control to not pop up every time and create a stumbling block for the Scheduler.
Does somebody know how to do this? I am just wondering if it is clever to stop this Microsoft management console?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Based on those comments along, I'm not sure how Microsoft Management Console relates to jet. Microsoft Management Console, or MMC, is the tool that lets things like Computer Managenemt, 'Services' from 'Administrative Tools' .
Perhaps, if you have IT people, get Jet in contact with them. If Jet can provide a more technical description that may help. Depending on the fix though I'm presuming it something fairly technical. -

When I schedule nothing comes out in output.

I tested "test planner.xls" an it works fine.
It's the first time I use the schedular and I have absolutely no idea what it means.
Any suggestions ?? -

Jet Reports Historic Posts What I was trying to establish was if the account used to schedule the reports was the same as the account being logged in by the user.
If it is, I would try the following (keeping in mind I haven't seen this problem before)
1) Ensure your client is running the latest version of Jet.
2) Ensure the users account has full control of the output folder.
3) Delete any existing output file, so the scheduler has to create a new one.
4) Go into the Windows Scheduled Task, and copy the full command to a command prompt window and run it. Check if the output file is generated this way.
5) Try creating a schedule that does nothing other than generate a simple report, i.e. no emailing. Try that as in (4) above and normally through the scheduler.
