Viewer Report - Date Filters

The report retrieves information for 2 periods as comparatives such as year 2017 & 2018.

In Design mode it works perfectly that is I can change different periods and Jet works fine, However when in Viewer Mode, as soon as I change the dates Jet changes the dates again as when I was using Designer Mode. I cannot understand what I am doing wrong as in an other report I created it is working fine.

Any assistance please? greatly appreciated. How can I attach the report so that you can see.

  Hello Ian -

  If I understand correctly, what you want to do is set up a Report Option for the date, so that the viewer is prompted for that date when the report is run.

  Here's an simple example:

  

  Note the use of the Jet Keywords Option, Title, and Value in column A and row 1. My date ranges are created based on the contents of cell D4.

  When I run the report, the information intersecting cells (C4 and D4) is used to populate a dialog requesting that data:

  

  Once I click Run, the report is generated:

  

  If I run the report, again, but this time select 2017 as my current year, the results are reflected:
