When trying to run reports using Jet basic i'm getting the error 'You are not licensed for this data source' I'm connecting to NAV 2018, what could be wrong?
It is using an active license and data source connection test is successful.

Hello Michael -
Open the Data Source Settings. At the bottom of that window, you should see the text "You are not licensed for this data source".
If you click on that text, what additional information is displayed?
Hi Harry,
Thank you for your assistance.
I believe I know where you mean (when licensed in Jet Reports it shows 'You are licensed as a Designer') however in JetBasics, it would appear this functionality doesn't exist? See attached 2 screenshots, one showing that screen without the text, the other shows an area when I can see the error message.
Is there anywhere else I can find more information?
Thank you, Michael.
Could you please gather some additional info and send it in?
1) Enable Logging
2) Run the report
3) Send the resulting log file to beta@jetglobal.com
4) Turn OFF logging
Hi Harry,
I've sent the log.
Thank you again for the help so far.
Thank you for your help, Michael.
This issue occurs when using NAV 2018 with Jet 2019 (either 19.0 or 19.1).
While this will be addressed in the scheduled release of 19.2, your current option would be to use Jet version 2018 R2.
Hi Harry, I installed the old version and it's worked.
Thank you so much for your help!
Hi Erik,
Not Harry, but I had the original issue, I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting before I raised this and found the cause. I don't believe you will be able to work-around with the 2019 version at all, although there's no major obvious differences between the 2 that I know of. As Harry as said above, this should be resolved in version 19.2.
Regards, Michael.
Hello Michael and Erik -
Jet Reports 2019 (version 19.2) has been released.
You should be able to install that version to resolve this.
Hi Sander,
Until you are able to get an official response from Jet support, I suggest you perhaps try an earlier version of the software to see if it's a software bug or not.
Kind Regards,
Michael.
Hello Harry,
I receive the same error at our Customer. Is there any new solution - or do we still have to use the old Jet Version 2018?
Greetings Erik
I have the same issue with Jet Reports 2019 (version 20.2.19154.1). Do I need to downgrade the Customer to a Jet version 2018?
Customer is running Business Central fall 2018 CU3
Our customer got the same problem as Súni Slættanes discribed.
Is there a solution for this problem?
