The given key was not present in the dictionary

Issue:

When running a report, the following error message is displayed:

The given key was not present in the dictionary

Cause:

Jet Reports caches certain information about the table structure, unique identifiers, and fields available in your data source when a Data Source Connection is first accessed. When that information is changed (for example: a new primary key is defined), the cache needs to be refreshed.

Resolution

Either:

  1. Restart Excel, reload your report, run your report
  2. Open your Data Source Settings, click OK, run your report
