Overview

Jet Hub provides a manageable repository for your organization’s reports.  All your users – whether they have Excel and the Jet add-in installed or not – can run and view reports directly from their web browser.

This information applies to Jet Reports versions 2017 through 2018.  For more recent versions, see Uploading Reports to Jet Hub.

Publishing Reports to Jet Hub

This video provides a step-by-step overview of Publishing a report to Jet Hub and how to use the Web Hub.

Publishing to the Web Hub

The Jet ribbon within Excel provides the ability to publish your reports to Jet Hub.

In order for both the Excel add-in and Jet Hub to access your data source (be it NAV, GP, Jet Enterprise Cubes, Jet Data Warehouse, or a Universal connection), the settings for that data source must be defined in the Jet Administration Console and the Jet Excel add-in must be configured to use the Jet Service Tier for accessing those settings.

Once you have designed your report with the Jet Excel add-in...

and want to share it with others, you are ready to publish it.

  1. Place the report in Design mode by clicking the Design button on the Jet ribbon, and then click the Publish button...

  2. You will be asked if this is a new or existing report and to provide a name and description for your report...

If this is the first time you are publishing this specific report, you will most likely want to
select Publish as a new report.  If you have published this report before and want to
update the version that is currently stored in Jet Hub, you can choose
Overwrite an existing report and then select the name of the current report that is
already available in the Web Interface.

Once all the information on this screen is correct, click the Publish button..

That's all there is to it!

You have now published your report and that report is now available to you in Jet Hub where you can Run the Report.
