Overview

Jet Budgets provides a powerful yet flexible tool to assist you in the processes of starting, adding information to, and managing your budgets.

Let's start by looking at how easy it is to create a budget with either Dynamics NAV or Dynamics GP

Creating a Budget for Dynamics NAV

  1. Once we've logged in to Jet Hub and navigated to the Budgets section...

  2. We are then prompted to enter the basic information about this specific budget.

We'll give the budget a name and description, and select our NAV data source and company:

And we'll provide the date ranges for this budget.  Our date range can be based on calendar months or on any custom period we want to define:

  3. Next, we are presented with the defined NAV dimensions - from which we can select those by which we want to budget

  3. Next, we are presented with a list of the segments that are currently being used within our GP database.

from that list, we need to select which of the segments represents the main or "natural" G/L account number.
  4. Next, we need to select any other segments which we want to use within our budget - based on how the segments are used within our organization.

for example: segment 1 may represent department, segment 3 may represent location, any remaining segments may or may not represent other organizational information for which I need to budget.
  5. Once we click Create, the budget is created...

and we can continue with our budgeting process.
