I have just installed NAV. When I try and run the pre-built reports e.g. sales dashboard, against a Cronus company, it does some processing, and then gives the error:
The pivot table 'Pivot Table1' could not be refreshed. The following error was reported: 'Reference is not valid.'.
Can anyone tell me what the likely cause is please.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello -
What version of Excel are you using and have all updates for that version been applied?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Tim,
This is often caused when there is a field or table name from the standard NAV 2009 database that isn't being used in your database.
Open your report and select 'design' in the Jet Ribbon to go into design mode.
The sample reports have a worksheet that is called 'report'. On this worksheet you will see a field that says #VALUE! Select this cell and click on the "Debug" function wizard button in the Jet Ribbon.
The most common error message is Invalid field "xxx" (where "xxx" is the name of a field). If this is the error that you're encountering, you may be able to rename the field to match your database, or delete the field from your report entirely (sometimes the sample reports contain fields that aren't used in the pivot tables, and can be removed without impacting the report at all). The field name can be found in the row directly above the #VALUE!. You can either change the name of the field to a different name, or delete the field (and the header cell that is directly above it) completely.
If you're seeing a different error message, please post the report and state what error message you are seeing.
Thanks. -
