The database could not be opened. The Dynamics NAV client may not be supported on this operating system or may be incompatible with the version of C/Front that is being used.

The most likely cause of the error would be that the version of C/Front (the NAV system that handles most of the communications between NAV and Jet Express) is not an exact match for the version of NAV that is installed.
C/Front is part of the NAV SDK and and is required when using NAV 2009 and NAV 2009R2 with Jet Express. It is included on the NAV installation media as an optional component.
If you are using NAV 2013 or 2013$2, be sure that your data source is for 'NAV 2013 or later' and *not* 'NAV 2009R2 or earlier':
