Hello,
I have some questions concerning the Table Builder.
1. I choose a table. How can I get the "caption" of the fields ? I see only the the "field name" . In the options of the data source I have chosen "Captions" (see Hardcopy 1)
2. I have chosen the fields and left the Builder with "ok" button. I get the report (hardcopy 2). How can I reenter the builder for making changes ?
3. Why can I not save the layout which I have made with the builder ? All options (save, save as, open) are disabled.
I use NAV2009 clssic client, german language in Navision and I want to check if Jet Express is an option for our users and our reports.

If you would like to use Captions you must select a language in the General tab of the Data Source Settings (a language that is an available in your installation of Dynamics NAV) and select Captions in the Display tab of the Data Source Settings.
Saving a '.xml' template in the Table Builder is only a feature of Jet Essentials, not Jet Express.
With Jet Express you would need to manually modify the report that is created or recreate the report in a new Table Builder session.
You can manually add columns by adding the Header and Field and expanding the ranges in the NL(Table) function.

I was experiencing the same problem of all options to save a report layout grayed out and was thinking there is a way of achieving this. An option to go back to the Table Builder from the report design would also be a fantastic option. Could these issues be candidates for changes in the next release of Jet Express because i think they are really important. -

As noted in my previous reply on this forum posting the ability to save a '.xml' template for the Table Builder is a feature that is exclusive to Jet Essentials.
In order to gain access to this feature you would need to purchase a license for Jet Essentials.
