Hi all -
First of all, I'm a lowly Sys Admin and I don't know much about Jet Express, so forgive me if I don't explain this very clearly.
I have a user accessing Jet Express and they have set up a universal data source. It connects to SQL server using a standard login.
The initial set up of the data source is successful by specifying the user name and password, but for some reason, the configuration ALWAYS reverts back to having "Blank password" checked, and "Allow saving password" unchecked.
This instance is running on a Server 2008 R2 OS. Is there something that needs to be changed in order to preserve this setting?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello wkucardinal,
To begin with, my assumption is that you are actually referring to Jet Essentials, not Jet Express.
Jet Express does not support nor have a Universal Data Source option.
In any matter, the way to resolve this is to set the "Persist Security Info" option to "True" in the "All" tab of the Universal Data Source Configuration.
I have attached a screenshot of this setting for reference.
Best regards,
MWilson
