Hi
New to jet reports. i downloaded the addin and installed. However I have both Excel 2010 and Excel 2016 installed and the addin has only appeared in the 2010 version. Is there someway to manually install the din to Excel 2016 and if so where do I find it.
I can't uninstall Excel 2010 as i need to run some legacy spreadsheets that cannot be upgraded
Thanks for any advice
Mike

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Mike,
The same system requirements for Jet Essentials/Professional also apply to Jet Express.
System Requirements for Jet Essentials/Professional: https://jetsupport.jetreports.com/hc/en-us/articles/219403417
If you look at the bottom of the article you will see the following:Jet Reports recommends that only one installation of MS Office be present. Jet Reports cannot support installations where multiple copies of MS Office are installed.
Because of the existence of Microsoft Office 2010 on the machine and it superseding some of the Office 2016 registry keys that Jet utilizes to determine which Excel to load into there is no way that I am aware of to force it into Excel 2016.
You may need to disable Jet from both Office 2010 and 2016 and then add the following registry entry manually to Office 2016 (contact your system administrator for assistance as modifying registry entries improperly an negatively impact your system stability).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Excel\Options\
String Value: OPEN
Value data: "C:\Program Files (x86)\JetReports\JetReports.xlam"
(the following screenshot is for Office 2013 which is 15.0, 2016 is 16.0)
What I would probably recommend is to set up a Virtual Machine to run Office 2010 within for your legacy spreadsheets and just have Office 2016 installed on your local machine.
If you are using Windows 10 this would be fairly simple to accomplish with Hyper-V.
If you are using Windows 7 you could use Virtual Box which is free.
Best regards,
MWilson
