I am using NAV 4.0 SP3
I am using Jet 7.1.0
I have it set up locally on my laptop instead of through the server.
i have set this up hundreds of times before, but this time when i go to select my company i get this message…
"Local Navision license files are not supported on this version of Navision. Please make sure that you have not specified a Local Navision License file path in the Data Source options and that you have your Navision License File (fin.flf) in c:\program files\microsoft business solutions-navision\cleint400_SP3
any ideas??

You are setting up a connection to a local NAV database, aren't you? That's when the option "Local Navision license file" shows on the Data source tab in the Jet Reports options.
As from a certain Navision version* you are no longer allowed to enter a path in this option. Leave this option blank and the error should no longer pop up. You still must copy the FIN.FLF into the local NAV client folder.
* It was NAV 4, but was it Service pack 2 or 3 - or every NAV 4 version? Maybe the Jet team can tell us exactly which version this was.
