GP Budget not coming

I have tried entering the start/end date in a variety of formats (yyyy/mm; period#, mm/dd/yyyy, etc) but the only time the budget comes in is if I leave the start date blank and the end date to the end of the year. I cannot get it to pull in the budget for just 1 period. Any suggestions?
