I have a report which has been working for some time. Then suddenly I am encountering the following error message.
"Method '~' of object '~' failed"
Is anyone aware of what this message is referring to, how to troubleshoot it, and why it might be suddenly appearing?
Thank you for the suggestions!

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi! I have a user experiencing this same issue with 2 reports that I previously created and have been running for months. Did you ever receive an answer on this?

Jet Reports Historic Posts For anyone else searching for a resolution to this error, below is the response from the trouble ticket…
ISSUE:
Reports designed in version 9.1 are producing the following error when being run in the 7.0 version of Jet.
JetReports: Method of '~" object '~' failed.
I am a designer and recently updated to the new version to test prior to rolling it out to our end users. I can run the report without issue in the 9.1 version but when logging through a TS account I receive the error on the 7.0 version so I have ruled out security as the issue. Is there a patch or something that will need to be installed for users running the 7.0 version?
RESPONSE:
In Jet 2009 we changed the way the formulas are saved in Report Mode, so the reports that are created in Jet 2009 are not backwards compatible with older versions. Not to worry, you will not need to recreate the reports from scratch. All you'll need to do is to save the report in design mode, then open it with Jet v7 and run it and save it.
The issue is simply that Jet v7 cannot read a report that's been saved in report mode in Jet 2009. Design mode is no problem.
Hope this helps!!!!!
