Top n Vendors by spend amount

Hi,
Using NAV v4
Jet Reports v7
Excel 2007

I have created the formula below to sum the amount spent between a range of posting dates by Vendor.
However the sort is not working, results are returned for Vendors with purchases in the posting date range by Vendor number in ascending order.
Really struggling to see what i am doing wrong. Any suggestions? thanks

=NL("rows","Vendor Ledger Entry","Vendor No.","-=NL(""sum"",""Vendor Ledger Entry"",""Amount"",""Vendor No."",NF(,""Vendor No.""),""Posting Date"",""&$D$6&"")","*","Posting Date",$D$6,"Limit=",$D$3)

  Maybe you could try:
  
  Eg. Cell E3 =NL("Rows","Vendor",,"-Net change","<>0","Date filter",$D$6,"Limit=",$D$3)
  Cell F3 =NF($E3,"No.")
  Cell G3 =NF($E3,"Name")
  Cell H3 =NF($E3;"Net change","Date filter",$D$6)
