Jet Reports Historic Posts Official comment Ok, sorry for the delay, I didn't post back until I had the entire story.
I noticed that some installs of Office 2007 didn't have the "save as XPS/PDF" button in the "save as" menu.
According to Olivier (Christiaens Computer Service) it's only installed by default since Office 2007 SP1.
If you don't have it, auto-updates might install it, but you can do it manually, the link can be found in the menu "save as" -> "find add-ins for other file formats".
The thing that threw me off course was the cryptic error message:'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.'
Maybe it's worth noting in the help documentation on the PDF export functionality.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Van,
Jet Reports 2010 allows you to output to PDF when you use the Jet Scheduler. If you schedule the report to run, you will get one large PDF with all the worksheets included. If you would like the to email each sheet individually, you could set each one up as its own report. Or you might be able to work out a way to have it all done in one report by using Conditional Hide. When you output to PDF, it will only include visible cells/worksheets.
I hope this helps! -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Sarah,
As per the other thread (http://community.jetreports.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1535), I can't seem to get PDF exports to work.
Do I have to install a PDF printer of some kind? Or is it something even simpler?
Too bad I can't get it to work, as I thought I could show it to a customer tomorrow :(.
I hope we can get it fixed when you're in Belgium in two weeks. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Jan,
You should be able to use this feature without installing a separate program. We simply use Excel's "Save As" feature and save it to PDF. Are you getting any error messages when you use this feature? I hope we can get this taken care of before I get there!! -

Ah! So I can safely assume I won't get it to work on excel 2007 :)?
I didn't find it documented somewhere that is needs office 2010. Never mind, I'll test it on a 2010 later this week.
Thx for the info! -
Jet Reports Historic Posts I have Excel 2007 on my machine and it works perfectly. The "Save As" feature I was referring to is seen when you click on the Windows button in Excel, and select "Save As". You can then select "PDF or XPS". It is built into Excel. Can you attempt to do this manually? Open a workbook and click the Windows button and save as a PDF. Do you get an error message? When you use the Jet Scheduler and try to output to PDF, do you get error messages in your log file?
