Hi guys,
Sorry I guess this should be too simple as I couldn't find such question being asked.
How do I install nav 2009 c/front for my JetReports7.1.2.1824? Is it compatible in the first place?
I got the error…
429 ActiveX component Can't create object—Navision C?FRONT version that matches the Navision client can't found.
Pls help. Many thanks ;)

Jet Reports Historic Posts Jet Reports v7 is not supported with NAV 2009 and probably will not work. It may be possible to get v7 to work with NAV 2009, but I'm not sure and it's definitely not supported by Jet Reports. If it did work, you would have to find the version of C/FRONT to install which exactly matches your version of NAV. So if you are using the base version of NAV 2009 (build 27808) then you would have to install the matching C/FRONT with build number 27808. Similarly, if you are only 2009 SP1, or 2009 R2. C/FRONT is part of the NAV SDK and can be installed from your NAV CD. You can find your version numbers by right-clicking the fin.exe file (for NAV) or the CFRONT.DLL file (for C/FRONT) and selecting "Properties', then going to the "Details" tab. Does that help?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks Hughes.
The product ver of my Nav2009 is 6.0.32012.00. I have the Nav2009 CD but which installation option as it will ask differently to specify parameters?
The options are Client, Classic Server Componet, Server, Developer Environment, and Database Components. Do i specify the parameters or take the default value?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Aaah so you have NAV 2009 R2. Choose Classic Server Components. Then uncheck Application Server and Database Server (I'm assuming you don't want these on your client machine). Expand "Software Development Kit" and choose to install C/FRONT. It shouldn't be necessary to install C/FRONT .NET. That should do the trick. It still may not work, but installing that matching version of the C/FRONT is the only way to find out.
