Regarding Express I have the following questions:
1. Does anyone know if it is possible to execute reports in Express which are created with Essentials?
2. Is it possible to use Express with NAV2009 SP1 or only with NAV2009 R2 (or later)?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Richard,
Jet Essentials contains many functions which are not available in Jet Express. A few of these include:
- The ability to create different columns, rows or sheets based on data in the database (e.g. using NL("Sheets") to create a separate sheet of data for each salesperson in your NAV system automatically.
- The ability to 'lookup' data - so that you can select from data in your database with user defined filters (rather than having to type in the values).
- The ability to bring pictures into Excel directly from your NAV database.
- The ability to return a single field into a cell (e.g. using an NL function to return the account name that is related to a specific account number).
- Sorting, limiting and much, much more.
If your Jet Essentials report is limited to the "GL" function and/or the NL("Table") function, then yes, Jet Express will be able to run the report. In most cases however, Jet Essentials reports rely on functions which are not in Jet Express, so these reports would not function.
Thanks,

Jet Reports Historic Posts The obvious follow up question to yours is - is it possible to execute in Jet Essentials reports which were created in Jet Express?
The answer to that question is yes. All reports which are created in Jet Express will function identically in Jet Essentials.
Kind regards,
Steve
