Hi, the Report Player offers lots of useful reports. But I think there's a problem with the german language. When I try some reports and refreshing them in Excel, the message appears: The pivot table 'Pivot Table 2' could not be refreshed. The following error was reportet: 'Bezug ist ungültig'.
I changed both the language folder and the application language, but nothing changes.
What do I have to do to use the reports on a german database?
Best regards, Thomas.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Thommes,
The issue you're encountering could be caused by a few things.
I'm not sure which report(s) had this issue for you, so I'll provide a few suggestions-
Were you able to get any of the reports to function? If not, you might want to ensure that your data source connections are correct.
Assuming that your issue only occurred with some of the reports-
- Some of the reports have a 'date format' field in the filters. This needs to match your NAV database (e.g. dd.mm.yyyy) for the reports to work. This filter is usually a 'user defined' filter, so you'll see it when you Refresh the report. If not, select the "Design" icon from the Jet ribbon and see if there is a cell in the filters that looks like this (it will likely be mm/dd/yyyy) - change this cell.
- If that's not the problem - while in report mode, look for any cells that say "#VALUE!" (I'm not sure what this is in German Excel). Select the cell and click the "Debug" icon from the Jet ribbon to get additional information.
If this doesn't get you going, please upload a report to this thread and provide details about what it is that you're seeing.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Thommes,
I think you may have downloaded an English version of the Report Player and are running this against a German database. Can I ask you to uninstall your Report Player and download the German langauge version instead from http://jetexpress.jetreports.com/de/resource-center/reports-library.php?
We host the Report Player in several languages, the langauge is downloaded is based on the region that is selected on our Resource website http://jetexpress.jetreports.com/region-select.php
I hope that this will resolve the issue for you.
Please let me know either way.
Kind regards,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Thommas-
When re-installing the Report Player there is a folder called "My Reports" in the "My Documents" directory that you will need to delete.
This folder was created when you first installed the Report Player and contains the English langauge reports.
When you install and run the new version of the Report Player it will create a new "My Reports" folder with your German langauge reports - but only if you've deleted (or renamed) the old folder first.
Sorry I didn't think to advise you on this earlier.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Im having the same problem and reinstalling the Report Player doesnt work for me.
All the Reports in the "My Reports" Folder have the Prefix "DEU" so it appears that they are for the german Version/Database.
Any hints on how to solve this? -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Marvin,
Could you run through these suggestions? If they don't resolve your issue, could you please attach a sample of an offending report with information about what the 'debug' feature tells you?
Thanks,

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Steve, I've uninstalled Report Player, then I deleted the 'my reports' folder and I reinstalled the german Report Player. The error message appears again. Debugging tells me: "Das Feld Verkauf (MW) existiert nicht." ("The field "Sales (LCY) doesn't exist.").
But this field is a standard field in the customer table.
I don't have any further idea!?
Hello Marvin, have you solved that issue?
Best regards,
Thomas. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts …enclosed you will find the jet log file…

While field names are constant, field captions change depending upon the language module loaded.
The message you specified ("Das Feld Verkauf (MW) existiert nicht.") indicates that the report is expecting no language module to be specified in the Jet Express' Data Source Settings (see attached example demonstrating how the field captions change based on the language).
Try changing the Language module setting to "000 - Do not load language module" and then test the report.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi HP,
i changed the setting from "DEU - Deutschland" to "000 - …", but the same message appears.
Best regards, Thomas -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Thommes,
I think the issue may be that the caption for the field used in the report - Verkauf (MW) may be slightly different in your database - its likely that you have a Euro symbol instead of the MW.
I changed this in the attached two reports (replacing it with the actual english field name of Sales (LCY)).
Would you please rerun these reports and let me know if this resolves the issue?
This should be run with the Data Source langauge set to "DEU - German".
Thanks,
Steve -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Steve,
perfect! Additional I changed the field "Datumsfilter" to "Date Filter", and the report run!
Thank you for support,
Best regards
