Receive following message (in German) when updating the standard jet reports:

"Die Pivottabelle 'PivotTable1' konnte nicht aktualisiert werden.
Der folgende Fehler wurde angezeigt: 'Bezug ist ungültig'."

  It appears that either the pivot table may not have been created so that it's data source is maintained or that there is some missing information from the NL(Table) function being used as its data source.
  
  First, make sure your NL(Table) function includes the "TableName=" special filter:
  
  
  
  Next, run the report. While in Report mode and with a cell of the table selected, click the "PivotTable" button on Excel's "Insert" ribbon:
  
  
  
  the "Table/Range" should be set to the same name as you gave the table.
  
  Now, when you refresh the report, the Pivot Table should be able to update itself.
