Lost Infomation after Refresh

I am a brand new user of Jet Reports. Currently we add three columns to a specific Jet Report to do some calculations on the data. If we refresh the Jet Report we loose the added columns.

A) Is there a possibility of creating the calculation columns in Jet Reports?

OR

B) Is there a possibility of moving the calculation columns to another tab, refreshing the Jet Report and not lose the columns on the alternate tab?

Please advise.
