Hello,
We have a client that has been using Jet no problem on his desktop and the refresh takes between 5 and 10 seconds which they could cope with however as the server has been moved to the cloud this is now taking a log longer (5 mins or so)
They have a terminal server and have been trying to use that but the refresh takes longer then the desktop (20mins plus) though the terminal server the SQL server and NAV server are all local to each other,
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Thanks
Liam

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Liam,
In the Data Source Settings dialog box, if you click the test connection button at the top, this will tell you the time it takes to contact the server.
For a local NAV 2009 database this would usually be about 5ms, for NAV 2013 somewhere in the 30-50ms range.
You can gauge your expected performance relative to these numbers.
I solution might be to put a remote desktop app at the remote location so it is local to the servers also.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello,
Had a look and the test doesn't work, it says
"The required Dynamics NAV Client executable (finsql.exe) could not be found in "c:\program files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Role Tailored Client"."
Can you please advise
Thanks

Jet Reports Historic Posts The Data Source in the dialog box must not be the data source in use when they run the report.
Can you click the drop down on the icon in the top left, and choose the data source used by the report.
Now, click the test connection, and link at the bottom to see what information is provided. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Liam,
If you are running NAV 2013, please ensure that you have the latest version of the Jet Reports business objects installed in your NAV database (v 12.5.8).
(these are in the 14125500-504 range of your business objects). This version of business objects can be much faster than earlier versions.
The latest NAV 2013 business objects avaialble at http://jetexpress.jetreports.com/
