I use since very little time Jet and wish to have the tax amount from my archived orders
The only problem is the version number may be quite large for a single document; how can we filter out the last version number by purchase?

If I understand your question correctly then this is not something you can accomplish with Jet Express.
In order to do this you would need to be able to nest functions inside of one another which is only a feature of Jet Essentials.
