Will Jet allow multiple nested filters? I'm getting a #VALUE! error with this formula:
NL("Rows","forecast","forecgrp","readydate",$C$2,"pcatalog",NL("Filter","pcatalog","pcatalog","item_no",NL("Filter","scatalog","item_no","item_desc",$C7,"category","<>SECO*","category","<>W*","category","<>X*","category","<>Z*")))

Jet Reports Historic Posts Try using Debug first to see what it says about the #value.
You may also want to try putting those filters outside the replicating NL. For example, suppose you put this filter in C3:
=NL("Filter","scatalog","item_no","item_desc",$C7,"category","<>SECO*","category","<>W*","category","<>X*","category","<>Z*")
In C4 you would enter this filter and reference the filter in C3:
=NL("Filter","pcatalog","pcatalog","item_no",$C$3)
In, say, D5, you would put your replicator and reference the cell in C4.
=NL("Rows","forecast","forecgrp","readydate",$C$2,"pcatalog",$C$4)
It's cleaner to keep filters out of the replicating NL. Filters create a virtual list of whatever is in the FIELD parameter box. (In your case, Item #'s and the catalogs.) It can be tucked up and out of the way of the report along with any other options. This also helps to cut down on errors because you see if those filters are the culprits for creating the #value and also in how many characters are in a cell since Excel will only hold so many characters.
Hope this helps.
