Due to the large number of international community members I thought everyone might find this intersting. http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/14/anheuser.inbev.ap/index.html The makers of Stella Artois will be purchasing Anheuser Busch the brewer of Budwiser for $52 Billion USD. I know there are members of the US community who are not excited by one of the US's most famous beers being purchased by a non-US based company but how do our community members from outside of the US feel about it?

Jet Reports Historic Posts I'm from Belgium, and InBev is a well-know company here. Personally, I really like Jupiler and Stella, but can't drink Bud.
Furthermore, InBev has control of the market here and beerprices are going trough the roof lately.
I don't really know how I feel about Bud being purchased by InBev… I don't recon it will have an effect here, but more on the other side of the ocean. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts I don't think Budweiser can get any worse as far as a product. As for the company, I don't really know anything. I stick mostly to microbrews and local stuff whenever I can, but the PNW is blessed in that area.
