When running a long jet report, is there anyway to continue using Excel?
We run a report for 1/2 hour & cannot do anything else is Excel.
Maybe a way to launch a new copy?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Yes.
There are 2 ways.
1. Start–>All Programs–>Microsoft Office–>Excel
a. This will create a New Process
2. If you're Familiar with Windows you can create a new process
a. open the Run input box (Widows Key + R or Start–>Run)
b. Type "excel"
c. Click Run
WARNING:
You may loose functionality
i.e. because Jet uses "find" to find certain formulae you may paste and something else would come up.
this will also make your report run slower.
also (and i havent fully tested this) but if you have a cell open (halfway through typing/ Press F2) Jet may take even longer.
It is best to only use it if you really need to. and for basic formulas. -
