creating stock report / month

Oke, new learning task,
I would like to have some samples on how to archive following (my beste learning curve is looking at (partial) samples and taking small steps LOL)

report design:

stock level per item, on first day of the month.
in column layout where each month is automaticlly added within a date range
like attached layout sample.
