Hi,
My jet report is reading a non-numeric NAV field (that we put numeric characters in) and bringing the values in the field into my jet report.
However, excel is reading the values in this field as non-numeric so I am not able to sum the values.
I changed the excel formatting for the fields to Number and that does not work.
I used the excel formula =N(NL(,"Sales Shipment Header","Package Tracking No.","Company=",$G$5,"Posting Date",$E8,"Shortcut Dimension 1 Code",$H$6,"Sell-to Customer No.","100636")) and that does not work.
I continue to get the green error tic in each cell where a number is being returned, but is not recognized. I Need this report to be run by mulitple users and they cannot manually change the formatting to Number each time this report is run.
I've attached a screenshot of the error message.
Please advise?

Have you tried using the Excel VALUE function? This works for me:
=VALUE(NL(,"Sales Shipment Header","Package Tracking No.","Company=",$G$5,"Posting Date",$E8,"Shortcut Dimension 1 Code",$H$6,"Sell-to Customer No.","100636"))
