Could anyone tell me where to find a basic Jet reports manual?

  There isn't really a Jet Reports manual. The Jet Essentials resource center has links to a lot of information including vidoes, the support site, etc. at http://www.jetreports.com/welcome. I believe if you take a training class from Jet Report you also receive materials as part of the class.
