NL Rows + conditionally hiding rows [Solved]

Hey there. I'm using the following function to generate a list of projects =NL("Rows","Dimension Value","Code","Code",$A$5,"Dimension Code","2-PROJECT"). In the cells to the right, I have a series of NL(sum) functions. And in column A I have a conditional hide function, =IF(SUM(E14:I14)=0,"hide","").

When I run the report, the results look fine. However, when I go back to Design mode, the data generated by NL(rows) remains and breaks the formating of the sheet. If I remove the conditional hide function, everything works fine. However, then my report has many blank rows.

I know I'm missing something simple on this hide function, but I'm out of ideas. Anyone familiar with this?
