Sum displays differently than drilldown detail

Hi,
To add to the mystery - the missing amounts (posting dates 9/27/14 and 9/28/14) would appear if the filter is 7/1/2014..9/29/2014 or 7/1/2014..10/1/2014 but not if the filter is 9/30/2014.
Never seen this happening.

I am very puzzled by the following:
The statement below produces an amount, yet when one drills down on the result cell, the detail in the pop-up window shows a set of rows that add to a different (and accurate) amount.
=NL("Sum","G/L Entry","Amount","G/L Account No.",D13,"Transaction Type",D14,"Posting Date",E20,"Business Unit Code",F14)

Has anyone run into this? I am using Dynamics NAV (Serenic Global company) and Jet 2013. Strangely enough the NL(Sum) problem does not exist when running it against the individual company, just when running against Global.
