Jet Service Tier with ODBC

Hello -

While the settings for your data source are stored in the Jet Service Tier, the connection to the database is done from the user's computer.

Thus, it is necessary for each user's computer to have the needed ODBC or OLE driver installed.

Hi

We use Jet Essentials 2015 Update 1 and the Jet Service Tier to centralize the management of the DataSource.
We have NAV DataSources and some other DataSources using ODBC connection (MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres).

With the DataSources on ODBC connections, user must have locally the ODBC driver installed AND the ODBC DataSource configured. Otherwise it does not work.
So i don't know if i did something wrong or if this is the normal behavior.
