Is it possible to extract the username/ID for the person running the Jet Report, similar to the username that is shown when one clicks on Data Source Settings - You are licensed as a Designer/Viewer?

Excel does not offer such a feature (other than using a VBA macro to do so) nor does the Jet Excel add-in.
If you feel that this would be beneficial to the Jet community, as a whole, I would encourage you to post it to the Jet Reports Ideas Portal.

I will check how I can do this through some VBA macro as I have reports which need to be filtered by the Dim Dept assigned to the user (Viewer) running the report. The company doesn't want the users to view the financial figures of the other departments.
