I have created a report where columns are created dynamically based on different Companies.
I need to hide rows where all values are zero and not just the total.
I am able to Hide rows easily if the columns are fixed but not able to hide if columns are dynamic (it can either 2 columns or more) depending on user filters
It can be done, you just have to make sure you include an anchor column within your formula to determine when it use Conditional Hide.
Here is the formula I usually use: =IF(AND(MIN(D7:E7)=0,MAX(D7:E7)=0),"hide","show") If both the highest and lowest value in the range is 0, then all values are 0.
That said, it is better to try and use NL Rows and filters (perhaps array calculations) to only pull back the necessary row values. When you use conditional hide, you still have to wait for all the hidden calculations. Better to not have them at all. My personal rule of thumb, only use conditional hide if there is no other option or if it is easier and hides, at most, 5-10% of the data.
