I have a report that is using Customer Name as a group filter. Some of the Customer Names have ( ) in them like James Smith (Los Angeles).
As these filters change dynamically I get the Invalid filter "James Smith (Los Angeles) error. I do not see a way to escape these characters.
Is there a way to work around this as there are many customers with this issue.
Best practice is to use the Customer Number as a filter, rather than name for two reasons. First, the customer number is a unique identifier across multiple tables. Second, two customers could, in theory, have the same name thus determining the correct one impossible for Jet.
