Formulas are lost when I switch datasource

I’ve got a simple NL rows formula on one tab of my report. If I change data sources the formula and it’s associated NF formulas disappear to be replaced by =“text” style values. Oddly, the other tab on my report has a similar NF Rows formula that is unaffected.
