Is anyone else having an issue where the Jet Function Wizard suddenly disappears and hides itself behind other windows when it is the active window? I'm using the most recent version of Jet Professional, so I'm wondering if it's a quirk in the newest 2018 build?

Cynthia C.N Hello Brian,
Yes, this was a known issue that has since been addressed in the below build of Jet Professional 2018

Brian Kiester Which is all fine and good, except that I'm running Jet Professional 2018 Build 18.0.18018.1.

Brian Kiester When working with Jet Function Wizard, additionally, sometimes the Jet Function Wizard window will disappear and leave you looking at what appears to be the old skin options drop down. I will try and get some screenshots for you.

Cynthia C.N Hello Brian,
Is this issue occurring directly on your computer?
Or are you remoted into another computer from your machine?
What type of computer are you using? Laptop? Desktop? Tablet?
What Operating System?
If you are remoted into another machine, what version of Jet is installed on that machine?
Cheers,
-
Brian Kiester Hello again, Cynthia.
- Is this issue occurring directly on your computer? Yes.
- Or are you remoted into another computer from your machine? No
- What type of computer are you using? Laptop? Desktop? Tablet? Desktop
- What Operating System? Windows 7
- If you are remoted into another machine, what version of Jet is installed on that machine? N/A
The first screenshot shows the JFX window when I opened it, then I selected the dropdown on the highlighted option and the second screenshot appeared.
When I selected the value I wanted for that field (double clicked it or selected and hit enter), odd little window disappeared and the JFX window could be found buried behind other windows.

Mario Vegue Dominguez I also have the same issue. Any help?
Thx,
Mario

Harry Lewis Hello Mario -
What version of the Jet Excel add-in are you using?
Does the issue occur EVERY time? or, what are the steps necessary to duplicate?
-
Cynthia C.N Hello Brian,
Have any other users reported similar issues that you know of?
Additionally, there was a client that reported a similar issue who reportedly got this issue fixed by installing all available Windows/Excel/Office patches on his system.
Can we have you check into that.

Brian Kiester Hi Cynthia.
I have not recently had this issue, but I am now running Windows 10 and Jet Professional 2018 build 18.1.18127.4, so it is very likely that the issue was resolved with one of the updates since this thread was started.
And, no, I have not heard from any other users regarding this issue.
Thanks.

Harry Lewis Hello Marcus -
As both Cynthia and Brian mentioned, at least two users have been able to resolve the issue by installing all available patches for Windows and Office.
-
Marcus Wegener Hi,
all available Patches for Windows and Office were installed.
The issue is still there. The Jet Function wizard hides itself behind the Excel window when a mouseover tooltip or a drop-down list appears.

Harry Lewis Hi Mario –
Here is something you could try:
Launch MSTC.EXE
Click on Show Options.
Go to the Experience tab:
- Select Lan (10Mbps or higher)
- Un-check *ALL* check boxes
Connect to the server and test the drop down menus.
Close the Remote Desktop connection.
Open MSTC.EXE, again, Show Options, go to the Experience tab, re-check *ALL* the boxes:
Connect to the server and test the drop down menus, again.
