Jet Scheduler Only Send Out Email When Outlook is Open

Hi,

I tried to use Jet scheduler to email Jet report via outlook. I have setup the outlook to be open as administrator as shown on the support document. When the outlook is open, it does send out the report as expected, but once the outlook is closed, there is an error "Unable to create or connect to Microsoft Outlook" on the log. The account will be log off when the jet scheduler runs, so is there any possible way to send out the email while the outlook is closed?

  Once you set up the Scheduler Permissions as per the knowledge base article you should be able to Send Out Email When Outlook is Closed as well.

  Hi Sanket,

   

  Thanks for your reply. I set up the permissions as the article listed, but it still failed due to the same error. Do you know what else stops to create or connect to outlook. BTW, I am using outlook 2016.

  Hello Rachel -

  If:

  - all necessary permissions are configured 

  - either (a) Outlook is closed or (b) Outlook is already running after being "Run as Administrator"

  and you are still getting that error, there are three options:

   

  1 - use SMTP instead of Outlook (note: if using Exchange server, it can be configured for using SMTP)

  2 - re-test after having full administrator privileges assigned to your account

   

  and, if neither of those is possible...

  3 - submit a request to the Jet Reports Technical Support team so that they can help you troubleshoot the issue.
