Jet Service Tier error


We are using the service tier to run Jet reports but have recently been having connection issues for a number of users. These happen intermittently and our IT dept are saying the reason is that there are so many people connecting via VPN to the office from home, and then the connection to the service tier is from the office to Azure via VPN. They tell me having 2 VPN's like this is not really suitable and having too many users is causing the problem. For some people the error is intermittent and can be fixed by disconnecting the home-office VPN and reconnecting. For others they can't seem to connect at all.

Has anyone any experience of a similar issue and know whether there is something the IT guys are missing?

Also, it's been suggested that Jet Hub could fix the issue - does this seem likely?
