Hi all,
I'm trying Jet Express for the first time, in order to make a demo with it to a costumer.
I've installed the application on the following conditions:
1. .Net Framework 4.0
2. MSF Dynamics NAV 2009 R2
3. Windows 7
4. Office 2010
I've installed and configured Jet Express. I've connected it to a NAV Cronus Database, and when I push the "Test Connection" button it tells me the connection is working.
Back on the Excel Sheet, if I use de "Table Builder" function everything goes fine.
But, if I use the "General Ledger" function it never works, giving me the error that says:
"Configuration sustem failed to initialize. System.configuration.configurationerrorsException at
System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.PrepareCOnfigSystem() at System.Configuration.ConfiguraionManager.RefreshSection(StringsectionName)…….."
Can you please help me find the problem?
Many Thanks
Tito Tavares

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Tito -
There could be a problem with the .NET Framework and it needs to be reinstalled.
Alternately, this can also be caused by a problem with the user.config file in the local application data folder.
In Windows 7, this can be found in C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation\DefaultDomain_Path_{additional characters}\{version of MS Office}
You can try deleting that user.config file (or moving it to some location such as My Documents) to see if that resolves the issue.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello again,
Thanks for your quick answer!
I've tried both of your suggestions.:
- As for the .NET Framework, I've reinstalled it but the problem persists.
- As for the user.config file, I can't find it on my PC (I have Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits). I've searched the folder you gave and other obvious folders where that information is usually kept, but I couldn't find it…
So the problem persists! Do you know other folder where that file could possibly be?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello Tito -
Here is another possibility (depending upon how your system/network is configured):
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation\DefaultDomain_Path_{additional characters}\{version of MS office}
You may be able to get a good start by:
1) click the button formerly known as "Start"
2) in the "Search programs and files" box type: %appdata%
This should get you to the location: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming.
3) Move up a folder to: C:\Users\{username}\AppData
4) Navigate to Local, then Microsoft_Corporation, etc.
Do you see the user.config file?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello again,
I tried again to find that file, but I can't find it. I also asked for held for the DSI support from my company and they can't find it as well…
Anyway, to solve the problem I've installed the Jet Reports in another environment, in Windows Server 2008, and there everything went fine. I tried then to install Jet Report on other PC with my environment (Windows 7, Office 2010, etc..) and it didn't work again…
But no problem I will do the demo to my client on Windows Server 2008!
Thanks for your help,
