I'm doing an initial setup for one of our Navision users.
We have three individual companies setup in Navision, with security in place so that specific users can only access specific companies.
Upon initial setup via Data Source Settings within Excel, when I click on the drop down to select a company, nothing appears.
If I try this as the Administrator user, I get the full list of companies.
As a test, I gave the user full rights to all companies, and then they were able to retrieve the list. But when I revoked their full rights and only gave them rights to 1 specific company, this company (or any others) appear on the list.
Any idea what we can do ?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Each user will need to be given permission to read the companies table.
This does not give them any rights to the companies, just to the list of companies. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Joel. Thanks for the response. We have tried this with no luck. Here are some questions that my NAV Integrator has:
1. Does “each user” mean each user that is trying to get access through Jet (which I did but it didn’t work) or each user in the database?
2. I gave NAV read permissions to the company table and then synchronized all users (no error that the vox login doesn’t have the required permissions to synchronize). Lisa still gets the “do not have permission to read the company table” error. Is there another SQL-only permission to be granted? -
Jet Reports Historic Posts "Each User" that is going to use Jet.
Here are better instructions than my short answer.
