I seem to be having issues emailing my scheduled reports. I am using Jet 2009. I have tried a number of different things to no avail. I have a report scheduled to run daily, which is to be emailed using Outlook. I entered the email address in the email tab of the scheduler. I also went into Windows Task Scheduler to check the Autopilot commands, but everything seems to be in order, except that no report gets emailed.
Any help would be appreciated :D

Jet Reports Historic Posts Official comment Hi Tyler,
SMTP e-mail (new in Jet 2009) is actually a more reliable method of e-mail than Outlook. You must specify your SMTP settings in the Jet Reports Application Settings before this option becomes available in the Jet Scheduler. You may need to get your SMTP server address and settings from your IT professional. If you can't get this to work, you should post a ticket on the Jet Reports support site and someone can e-mail you or get on a meeting with you to resolve the issue.

Jet Reports Historic Posts Thanks Hughes,
I switched to SMTP and everything it worked great.
Just out of curiosity, is there a particular reason why it seemed to be having trouble sending using just the exchange server settings? Is this a common occurrence? Has anyone else had similar issues? -
Jet Reports Historic Posts Hi Tyler,
I'm glad that the SMTP e-mailing worked for you! There are a myriad of reasons why e-mailing using Outlook could fail. Permissions issues or some of the settings in Outlook itself or even not downloading all the latest updates to Outlook could all have an effect. Theses issues are one reason we decided to implement SMTP e-mailing; it is more reliable.

Hughes
