I was wondering how it's possible to start from a field and add links to multiple tabels.
When I click 'Create/edit link' I get redirected to a screen where I can choose 1 tabel to link to. I would like to link to multiple tables instead of only 1. Can anyone help me please?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Hello,
No it is not possible to do this. A field can only be linked to a single table. If you think about how the Report Builder works, if a field had links to multiple tables, how would the user know when they clicked that field which table they were being linked to? How would the software itself know which table to take them to? Does this make sense?

Jet Reports Historic Posts At first glance I agree with Hughes now the question becomes what is it you wanted to acheive with the link ?

Jet Reports Historic Posts Off course Hughes is right, but I think it's clear that, let's say, a customer nr is linked to multiple tables. And there are plenty of examples of fields that are linked to multiple tables in NAV ;) I just wondered whether it was possible to link such fields to all of its related tables using the data view creator:) But that doesn't seem to be possible.
I don't need the answer for a specific report, but I asked it just to get an insight into the data view creator's possibilities. -
Jet Reports Historic Posts So I think I see where you're going with that. Fields like "Source No." are frequently linked to multiple other tables in NAV. In this case, when you are creating a specific data view, you can create the link for the Source No. field to whatever table it should link to in that particular data view. For fields like this, it's a data view by data view thing. Since the link doesn't actually exist in NAV (since it's actually multiple links, it's not in the Field table), it's not created automatically, so you have to create it when you create the data view. For a particular data view, it can only link to one table of course, but it could link to different tables in different data views.
You can also add a caption to it when creating the data view. So if the Source No. field is going to be the customer number for this data view, you would want to add that link and probably also add the caption "Customer No." so that it is more clear to the user of the data view. Does that make sense?
