Compile Error in Hidden Module: XlamJetFunctions - FIXED

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to install JetReports 2009 on a Win 7 laptop with Office 2007.When I start excel I get a message box stating "Compile Error in Hidden Module: XlamJetFunctions". I then get a few more errors related to the Excel ribbons and then a spreadsheet appears. Most of the ribbons(tool bars) are missing at this point. If I disable the JetReports Add-on, Excel works fine.

There is no JetReports.dll in JetReports 2009 and I've tried re-registering all dll's found under the JetReports directory.
I have installed "Microsoft Dynamics NAV SDK.msi". I was told that this might be needed.

  Hi,
  
  To fix this problem, you should uninstall Jet Reports, then re-install it by right-clicking on the Setup.exe and selecting "Run as Administrator". On Windows 7, a file will not run with elevated privileges automatically even if you are already an administrator. As such, during the installation process, all of the necessary registry entries that are required to make Jet Reports run properly are virtualized and cannot be found by the Add-In.   Thanks pdxsam for your replay.
  
  The issues was related to JetReports not been activated by an administrator. I was un-ticking this option as I didn't want to activate for an admin! :roll:
  
  This is the last step to complete by the JetReports setup.exe and not the MSI. The Activate action creates some key in the HKCR and HKLM. Basically I needed a silent installation to support multiple deployments. I can easily extract the MSI from the setup.exe and add a CA to the MSI to call Jet.Activator.exe /V. The users can activate JetReports which enables the product within Excel. :D
  
  The installer could be a cleaner, typical of InstallShield setup.exe!

  Topic is already one year old, I still want share my experience.
  
  @Doonbi: Same problem here. We (university) use SMS/SCCM to install jetreports silent.
  
  This is the answer I gor from techsupport from Jet:
  
  As you have seen, the error occurs when Jet Reports is not properly registered on the machine.
  
  Most commonly, this occurs on Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 system where the software was not installed using the "Run As Administrator" feature.
  
  While I am unfamiliar with installing software through System Center Configuration Manager, I assume you have some manner in which to force the equivalent of "Run As Administrator".
  
  In certain security environments, it is possible for running as administrator to still fail to successfully register Jet Reports.
  
  In these situations, it is necessary to register the Jet DLL using Microsoft .NET 4.0's RegAsm utility.
  
  The command syntax for this is:
  
  RegASM "c:\program files\JetReports\Jet.dll" /tlb /codebase
  
  [assuming that the system is a 32-bit system… on 64-bit system, Jet is installed under the "Program Files (x86)" folder]

  That is what we do now, after installing Jetreports, register .net the Jet.dll, it solved our problem.

  Hi all,
  
  I followed the suggested solution to the "T" without success.
  
  I run a Windows 7 Machine with Office 365 (2013) and cannot get to Jet to work on my machine. The error relates firstly to "cannot compile…hidden module: Xlamfunctions".
  
  Any suggestions?
