Do you have any other add-ins enabled in Excel?
Bingo! Disabling the only other add-in made the pesky error message disappear.
Thanks (again)!
Hans
Do you have any other add-ins enabled in Excel?
I would like to use Autopilot to run a number of reports (from a shell script) in one go, unattended.
Each time a report starts, the main Excel window comes up, and then a message box(translated from Dutch) "This application is about to initialise possibly unsafe ActiveX controls", requiring me to click OK to proceed (or Escape to abort).
The message doesn't mention which ActiveX controls are to blame, but is there a way to get rid of it so that I can run my reports unattended?
(Windows Server 2003, Jet Reports 2010)

Hans
Hi Hans,
This article about ActiveX settings in Office 2010 might help:

Thanks for your reply! I should have mentioned that I use Office 2007, not 2010. I have tweaked all available settings in Office 2007's "Trust Centre", but to no avail.
What I find puzzling is that
Hi Hans,
Wow, that is weird! I haven't seen something like this before that I can remember. It's really strange that it only happens with AutoPilot. Does it always happen even if you create a new workbook from scratch and run it (say a workbook with no Jet functions)? I also don't know what the "Microsoft Forms" bit is about. Do you have any other add-ins enabled in Excel? What happens if you disable all but the Jet add-in?
Regards,
Hughes
Hans,
Nice! Glad you figured it out. Btw, just so I know for the future, what add-in was it?
Regards,
Hughes
It was the (an?) Excel add-in for Exact Globe 2003 (filename EG2000.xla)
